Mary Gehr [Chicago, 1910-1997]

A Retrospective

Mary Gehr was a graduate of Smith College and the Art Institute of Chicago. She traveled extensively in North & Central America,

the Mediterranean, the South Pacific and Asia, sketching studies for the paintings she would later execute in Chicago.

During her long and prolific career, she had over 50 solo exhibitions throughout the U.S. and abroad.
